These pictures were taken during a trip to Namibia in 2005. Namibia is a vast country, almost the size of Germany and France combined, with a population of only 1.8 million people. It takes many hours of driving (and in one case) flying to get around and see all the amazing sights it has to offer but the effort is definitely worthwhile. The tour took me from Windhoek to Keetmanshop and the Fish River Canyon, Sesriem and Sossusvlei, Walvis Bay, Outjo and the Etosha National Park, travelling through both the Namib and Kalahari deserts. I also took a Cessna flight north from Swakopmund to visit one of the Himba villages, with my flight back taking me on along the Skeleton Coast, past the Cape Cross seal colony and traversing the sand dunes. At Etosha, watching the elephants and rhinocerous coming to drink at the Okaukuejo Camp Watering Hole after dark was incredible.
